Poll: How to hook-up or meet people best?
The internet is a fad that doesn’t seem to have passed yet. My guess is that it’s here to stay. Now I wasn’t in the bars before the internet became popular, but I hear they were a much different place. Now if you want to hook-up, you just go online. I know it’s possible to meet guys online for more than just a hook-up.
I’m wondering what sites y’all like to use to meet people or hook-up. Do you tend to go to certain sites for certain things?

Recon gets my vote for quality of selection and quality of site operation…it’s probably the most usable ‘free’ site for non paying members…while maintaining one of the better communities of men I’ve seen.
For meeting new friends (and more), I still think Bear411 is the best site. I’ve used it off and on for four or five years, both as a paying member and as a non-paying member. The owner hasn’t always taken responsibility for problems on the website (e.g. security issues), but over all it’s fairly decent.

I tend to like site the are more profile oriented like Bigmuscle/BigmuscleBears because they still kind of get you to have a conversation with the person you want to meet. This way you can find out what they like, are in to, not in to… etc. The sex sites like Manhunt clearly make it easier to find what one is looking for at a particular moment, but a lot can be lost there.

I have met some incredible guys on this fairly new site. Haven’t had to filter through all the game-players and status liars like the other non-bareback places. I have had luck on several of the other ones too, some good guys everywhere. I just have a short attention span when it comes to filtering through all the fakes and phonies.

Too many flakes on the sex sites. I have better luck with regular play buddies, bath houses, and at bars.
Craigs List also works pretty damn good. You have to weed thru the flakes but I always get good hook ups when I post
