Sorry I missed the survey.

I'm very fond of big muscle bears, and big young bodybuilders. I might be bearish myself, but I'm no muscle guy and just don't have the genetics to make that happen, no matter how hard I might have worked (I'm 61 -- it's too late now). I've found that most such guys are interested in others just like them :O(

There is a new group on Facebook called Gay/bi Bodybuilders Looking for Regular Guys. Most of the members are regular guys. There is some hope there, but Facebook does not have very good functionality for this kind of activity, it seems.

While I do find certain traits attractive, I do not have a set type. The picture listed is an atteactive man but but not my type at all. I find overly muscled men very unattractive. But that's just me, variety is the spice of life.

Attraction isn't necessarily shallow. Everyone has likes and dislikes. Both stem from a variety of factors: genetics, upbringing, cultural exposure, religion, childhood traumas, etc.

Of course, there is a flip side. "Your" perfect type may not return the sentiment. I find more often than not one should first possess the qualities they seek in others, and not just the physical ones. Sadly, many gay men (and not always thru any fault of their own) fixate on the ideal man w/o ever stopping to consider if they could offer the same in return.

My leather bear "dads" had a phrase for other large, furry types who are fixated on twinks (a/k/a Twinkies):

Junk Food Bears

First it made me chuckle, then it made me sad.
