I don’t think it’s weird. Many people fuck without getting names. Even if I got names, I wouldn’t be able to remember them all. And I don’t think people are honest about their names anyway. Still, I know people’s phone numbers or e-mail addresses before their names anyway. I think that’s how we ID people today.
Wanting a relationship and having sex are two different things. Sex can just be sex. (Fuck Buddies) The fact you can be intimate and bond when you interact sexually with somebody is not enough to justify a relationship. Weather you choose to use your real name is your level of trust with that person. In the same respect the online identities protect the real you. I know from previous “encounters” have negatively affected me i.e. stalkers where they knew my real name and they used my real identity against me.
