This is what I’m hoping will be the beginning of a series I’m calling Kinker’s Korner. It’s going to be a series of things written by people I admire in the kink/leather community. It might be something they’ve already written, or something just for WildCuddler.com.
Sir Olivier (Facebook) and pup Sparky are two people that I follow on Twitter and have come to learn a lot about different types of kinks. They have the regulars, but they are also pros at finding other fun things like what they describe a bit of below. Sir Olivier is also the Exec- Co Producer ILSb/ICBB, so if you’re in SF during Dore, you might keep an eye out for them

“Stick to This – A journey in tactile expression…”
With one step, a journey begins. There’s no right or wrong way to begin in a situational world. Only as guided by our own ethics, morals and life experiences. The Leather journey is a unique one. It tests us in ways we’ve never conceived of before and stretches our abilities to the breaking point. Before Leather these abilities were not only foreign and intimidating, but by some perspectives – contemptible.
Our most cherished traditions, stories and experiences throughout history, were passed on in both written and spoken form, taking new life and direction with every passing generation. It wasn’t a stagnant, stationary concept. Traditions, while holding to a central true belief, molded themselves around the needs of each passing progeny. They breathed, grew, or died. It was the natural order of things.
When the idea was presented to start writing articles about our experiences in Leather, our Leather journey, we wanted to do it in a way that emphasized the way of the old Tribes. These stories, ideas or beliefs we share, are not necessarily unique, just from our perspective. They are viewed through our eyes, colored by our experiences and growth as Leather people.
For the Leather Tribe to survive and continue to evolve, we have to start doing what our ancestors did, sharing, telling our story, giving to our generation and the next, those lessons we learned, those ideas we discovered and, most importantly how we lived our own Leather journey. There is no right or wrong – only sharing, experiences and understanding.
This is our story. It starts today, from memories of yesterday and hopes of tomorrow. This is our Leather 101, as we continue to learn, always striving to experience more and understand better what it means the be a Leather person in the 21st century.
The idea for the class “Stick to This” came from one of those numerous meandering trips through Home Depot and Lowes. The mood was set to come up with something new, different and unique. From the responses in the community, people are hungry for something different, unusual and perhaps even outlandish. Leather folk want knowledge in kink, outside the tride and true. “Stick to This” answers this call.
The first stop in any pervertables trip for pup and I is always the tape aisle. Why? Why not? It’s an easy, fun, fast way to inflict many delicious pleasures on a willing hungry bottom. Some Tops too, shhhh don’t tell anyone. As memory serves, right next to tape sections in most home improvement stores are the glues. It was with one glance to those glues, that the idea was born for “Stick to This.” Visions of childhood and pealing dried glue from your school mate’s skin, or your own, gave inspiration to a truly unique tactile experience.
Play and kink don’t have to be, nor should they always be about pain, torture and psycho sexual suffering. There’s a lot to be said about the more gentle influences of the dark side. When we started to explore what sticky things would be safe to play with, the idea of sensual sadism really took on more merit. Sticky isn’t necessarily a highly painful experience. There are some exceptions to this, but it’s a good general rule.
The class explores several different categories of sticky tools and implements; tapes, glues, papers, latex, food and more. We attempt to show folks unique and unusual things that can be done with this category of tactile play. It’s a very intimate play, where you have to be willing to fully explore your play partner. You’ll get dirty, sweaty and sticky in all the right ways.
The direction you take a sticky scene depends on two things: how much time and effort you invest into preparation and how much of your inner child you’re willing to let out. This is not the kind of play for the stoic or rigid. Free flow expression and humor are key elements.
As with all forms of play, there are safety concerns, techniques and skills that the player must be aware of. However one of the amazing things about sticky play is its simplicity. There are few real risks to be concerned with and only a couple concrete skills to learn. Sticky play is more about “fun, free expression, letting yourself go, exploring new things that maybe you’ve never tried before and connecting with your play partner in a new and unusual way.
We hope everyone joins us for the “Stick to This” class in March with WOOLF Wichita. Think of it as an arts and crafts class for adults with a kinky twist. We promise you’ll never look at Elmer’s glue the same way again. And then there’s the honey… sticky and sweet.. a hard combination to beat, don’t ya think?
Till next time…
