Just found a violet wand made by KinkLab. It just arrived today, so I haven’t had a chance to really play with it, but it does look fun. I’ve always wanted one and at $110 from Stockroom, it was finally time to dive in. Normally these are like $250+, so I could tell this was definitely more of a beginner level, and that was fine with me because I’ve never explored electro play before.

The great thing about it, even though it is a beginner level, is that they attachments can be used on more expensive violet wands and vice versa. If you have any suggestions on what to do with a violet wand, post a comment.

How to Clean a Fleshjack

Fleshjack does make an anti-bacterial spray you can used with your Fleshjack. It’s called Fleshwash. You can find it on the Fleshjack site under Lube and Care. While this will help clean your Fleshjack, it still won’t kill all STDs like HIV. I think this is overkill.
If you do want to share a Fleshjack, the best thing to do is use a condom with it.
The Fleshjack will get sticky after a while. It’s just the nature of the material. Throw it in a bag with corn starch and shake it up. That will prevent it from sticking to everything. You will likely have some goop on your cock the next time you use it though.

Grindr Removed from the App Store (Updated)

Update (3/23/2010 12:45pm): Grindr is back in the App Store

It looks as if Grindr has been removed from the App Store. There is this from Wikipedia, “On March 23, 2010, at approximately midnight pacific time, the Grindr app and its references were removed from the app store.”

Also, I went to the App Store and checked myself. It was not there. I have already deleted Grindr, but from what I’ve seen of other removed apps, current users will be able to continue to use the app. It will not be possible for new users to join though through an iPhone App.

Maybe it was Grindr’s fault for creating a product that had to follow Apple’s guidelines, and maybe it was these “family” groups putting pressure on Apple to remove apps like Grindr. Either way I felt that Grindr went about handling the restrictions placed on them very poorly.

I do have some inside scoops that there are some App Store restriction free web apps coming out that will do very much the same as Grindr does. Also, check out the Recon iPhone App which recently added location-based searching. Recon is one of the best gay hook-up/dating sites out there for a wide variety of reasons.

I consider this a victory for the pro-cuddlers. Maybe if Grindr resurfaces, it will be kinder to us.

New Product: Fort Troff Under Bed Sling

Fort Troff just came out with a new product called The Leg Sling. It’s an easily portable sling that will hold up the legs allowing for some hot fucking, fisting and whatever else you nasty pigs might be doing. Check out the link, they have a demo video of them putting it together and using it.

It’s designed for easy assembly and only weighs 9 lbs. Great if you have limited space to use and/or store a full sling. It uses a pretty cool pully system to hold the stirrups (which are not included).

This looks great if you need something for travel. Bbased on the $299 (plus stirrups) price tag though, if you are looking at getting a sling, you may want to check out a real full sling for just a little bit more. Also, I’m a little worried about the construction because it’s made of aluminum. It looks semi-solid, and maybe I’ll see it at IML this year to give a better review.

This is designed to be used for students to help them study, but I can think of some far better uses for it. It has a 4 hour max timer and won’t unlock until the timer is up. Build Your Own Spread Bars

If you’re looking for a place to start with some inexpensive do-it-yourself kink, spreader bars are one of the easiest places to start. I wanted something really sturdy and more industrial looking, but you could use something as simple as a thick dowel and eye-screws. This was my first attempt at creating something like this, and I had no guide to follow, so it’s not perfect. Click on any picture through this guide to see it full size.

This whole thing only took about 20 minutes to construct and cost about $20. Well worth it for experimenting, compared to the $50+ spreader bars you find at online retailers.

The Parts
2 – 1/2″ metal tubes (I used a 2 ft (legs) and 3 ft (arms) poles – Read Problems section at the end)
4 – U-bolts (2″)
4 – 1/2″ T-connectors

You’ll also need restraints of some kind, and something to connect those restraints to the spread bars

Step 1
Take the U-bolt apart and insert the bar through the T-connector. Tighten the bolts back on. Do this for all 4.

Step 2
Screw the T-connector onto the 1/2″ metal tube. Repeat for all 4. Try to make sure the T-connectors are parallel with each other.

Congrats! You’re ready for some bondage play.

Problems
The 3 ft metal pole is too long. I’m a 6’2 guy and it ended up being a yoke when I tested it on myself. If you can suspend the pole, it might not be so bad. Depends on what you are doing. Also, in the original picture, you may see the clips that I used. Those are too long for this type of use. I would recommend explore shorter clips like carabiners. One last note, the u-bolts don’t fit snug against the t-connector, so they can move around some. I considered using a large eye-bolt with a washer, but I liked the look of this. When you’re shopping for your parts at a hardware store, you may want to consider this option. Just put the eye-bolt through the T-connector, with a large washer on the other side and tighten.

Camouflage CB6000

The famous chastity device creators over at CB-2000 have released another model in their CB6000 line. This is the 2nd “designer” model, the first being the Wood Grain Finish I mentioned a week ago. This is the camouflage finish that is great for all the military lovers out there. They advertise that no two will look the same. This is likely because the material they apply on these will never match up. Which makes me also wonder if there are seams where the pattern meets.
