I already posted about getting my dungeon/playroom started, but it takes gear and toys to get one started. It takes a while to get gear and I’ve made mistakes over the years, especially in the maintenance and care of some of it. Hopefully you won’t repeat some of my mistakes.

I tried to organize most of my gear based on use, type and just what I enjoy. There’s a lot of things here, but I’ll try to cover it all.

1. Bondage Gear
   Above is leather mitts, masks (leather and rubber).
   Below are restraints. Some are nice padded restraints, while others are actually some neoprene and velcro straps for attaching to cables and lifting. These are great for intro bondage.
   Right are various ropes. I’ve never been big on rope bondage, but Daddy has been teaching me some.
   There are also some clips there to make bondage much easier
2. CBT Toys
   Behind the number is a humbler and a pressure board. Both are very fun
   Below are just some blindfolds.
3. Impact Play
   Variety of paddles, floggers, and a crop. They all have their various uses…
4. “Costumes”
   That’s really the best word I have for them. It’s a variety of things including uniforms, sports gear and some Halloween costumes.
5. Gags
   A variety of gags for different uses. One that can be used to piss through, a ball gag, and a full mouth gag. There is also a special one just for Daddy to use on me.
6. Miscellaneous
   Just the small things. Mostly implements of torture/pleasure for the nips and balls.

8. Lubes and Condoms
   A variety of lubes. My favorite are the Fire and Ice by Fleshjack and Str8Cam Lube, at least for using with my Fleshjack. The Shaft is a nice water-soluble lube that’s good for cock pumping.
   It’s also good to have a variety of condoms because you never know what might happen. Plus I always play safe. It’s good to even use them on toys.
9. Duct Tape
   You never know when duct tape might come in handy with a mouthy boy.
10. Safety
    There’s a First Aid Kit there, as well as some medical scissors and a Gerber multi-tool. It’s good to have things like this on hand because you never know what might happen.
11. Cock Pumps
    I really enjoy pumping my cock, and it’s fun to pump a boy’s cock too. There’s a variety of sizes and lengths. For beginners, find something barely larger than your cock in width. I like the pump with the pressure gauge on it too.

In the drawer below there, I have all my ass toys. It’s best if you can store these so they aren’t touching, and kept away from the lube. This is especially important if you have silicone toys and silicone lube. Also, make sure you get quality ass toys. I recommend silicone or other high quality toys. If you don’t know what materials it’s made of, don’t buy it. I know personally, I have a slight allergic reaction to most rubber-based toys. They essentially cause annoying irritation. If you currently have these, it’s a good idea to use them with a condom.

Not everything fits nicely on the hooks, so I also got a wire shelving unit. Combined with some containers, it works very well. I got plenty of white towels to help clean-up, then be bleached. On top you’ll see a large roll of plastic wrap. I got this for when I moved to Seattle, but I can think of many better uses for it… <eg>

I do need to give a shout-out to the Derek and Romaine Show on Sirius/XM OutQ for mentioning this.

Fort Troff just came out with a new product called The Leg Sling. It’s an easily portable sling that will hold up the legs allowing for some hot fucking, fisting and whatever else you nasty pigs might be doing. Check out the link, they have a demo video of them putting it together and using it.

It’s designed for easy assembly and only weighs 9 lbs. Great if you have limited space to use and/or store a full sling. It uses a pretty cool pully system to hold the stirrups (which are not included).

This looks great if you need something for travel. Bbased on the $299 (plus stirrups) price tag though, if you are looking at getting a sling, you may want to check out a real full sling for just a little bit more. Also, I’m a little worried about the construction because it’s made of aluminum. It looks semi-solid, and maybe I’ll see it at IML this year to give a better review.

If you’re looking for a place to start with some inexpensive do-it-yourself kink, spreader bars are one of the easiest places to start. I wanted something really sturdy and more industrial looking, but you could use something as simple as a thick dowel and eye-screws. This was my first attempt at creating something like this, and I had no guide to follow, so it’s not perfect. Click on any picture through this guide to see it full size.

This whole thing only took about 20 minutes to construct and cost about $20. Well worth it for experimenting, compared to the $50+ spreader bars you find at online retailers.

The Parts
2 – 1/2″ metal tubes (I used a 2 ft (legs) and 3 ft (arms) poles – Read Problems section at the end)
4 – U-bolts (2″)
4 – 1/2″ T-connectors

You’ll also need restraints of some kind, and something to connect those restraints to the spread bars

Step 1
Take the U-bolt apart and insert the bar through the T-connector. Tighten the bolts back on. Do this for all 4.

Step 2
Screw the T-connector onto the 1/2″ metal tube. Repeat for all 4. Try to make sure the T-connectors are parallel with each other.

Congrats! You’re ready for some bondage play.

Problems
The 3 ft metal pole is too long. I’m a 6’2 guy and it ended up being a yoke when I tested it on myself. If you can suspend the pole, it might not be so bad. Depends on what you are doing. Also, in the original picture, you may see the clips that I used. Those are too long for this type of use. I would recommend explore shorter clips like carabiners. One last note, the u-bolts don’t fit snug against the t-connector, so they can move around some. I considered using a large eye-bolt with a washer, but I liked the look of this. When you’re shopping for your parts at a hardware store, you may want to consider this option. Just put the eye-bolt through the T-connector, with a large washer on the other side and tighten.

One thing that I love is some nipples that can take some abuse. You might see this in someone’s profile as TT (Tit torture), nip play or any variety of those.

Something that makes that abuse easier is if they are nice and big. Suction/pumping nipples is one way to do it. I have seen some products out there that claim to do the job, and some that actually do. Another toy-free solution is to just have someone suck on them for an extended period of time, but that’s not very feasible.

Supple Nip Suckers ($24.95)
To be completely honest, for anyone actually interested in pumping their nips, these are completely worthless. Not to mention they are way over-priced compared to other options. These barely provide any suction and they tear pretty easily. They also require a lot of lube/liquid/moisture to help make the seal. The one advantage is you could probably wear these all day long without them doing too much. As it says on Mr S’s site, “produce a continual gentle sucking action”. And it is truly a “gentle sucking action”, like imagine a dead man sucking on them. That’s about where it is. If you do go for these, the color won’t really matter because you won’t need to see your nipple to check on it’s health because it couldn’t do enough damage.

Snake Bite Kit ($5-8)
Yes, this really is a snake bite kit, like the kind you could use if you got bit by a poisonous snake. With these, you get the most bang for your buck and I would highly recommend to those trying to be thrifty or looking to explore this aspect of TT. Just wet the nipple area or the inside of the sucker, give it a squeeze then put it on. These hold very well, unless you’re very hairy around the nipples. You can also give them a little extra squeeze to make them pull a little more. With the inexpensive price comes a couple down-sides. Firstly, the edges aren’t very smooth and will dig into your skin some. I’m sure an innovative person has come up with a way to smooth these and will share it with us though. Next is mostly aesthetic, you can’t see your nipple through them. I haven’t seen a clear version of these ever. Make sure you do check your nipple frequently until you figure out what you can take. Other than that, they work great and for a wide variety of people. You can find these at most kink suppliers, but also at almost any outdoor store in the camping section.

Cupping Set ($30-80)
Here is another solution that one might not normally think of for nipple play. I did buy this exact set from Mr S Leather during Folsom 2008 and I highly recommend it. Now thinking back on it though, it probably would have been smart to look at some non-kink stores first. They always sell these things cheaper. This one does come with an attachment to use the cupping pump as a cock pump, which you won’t find at non-kink stores. The smallest 2 sizes work best for most nipples. The great features with these is that they have a very smooth edge so you won’t tear up the skin at all. They are also transparent, allowing you to see if your nipple is turning an odd color and might fall off. The only downside to this option is that there are a couple parts to it so you don’t quite have the instant satisfaction you get with the snake bite kit.

Nipple Pump Cylinders ($100+?)

If you are REALLY into nip pumping, this is probably the way you’re going to want to go. You are going to have the most control and likely get the best results. This is the only nipple play pumping method I have not tried yet, mostly because of the cost involved in doing this. You’ll notice I put $100+ with a question mark. The cylinders alone only cost $50-70 depending on the size you get, but then you also need to get the T-connector and tho hose, in addition to having a pump. This could easily end up costing over $200 and that would only include 1 diameter of nipple cylinders.

I’ll do an article later on how to actually use these different items. But if you can’t wait to try it, take it slow and go in cycles giving your nips a chance to relax and breathe.

If I’m wearing a butt plug on an airplane is there danger of it popping out due to the pressure changes?
No. The only way I could possibly see something like this being a danger would be if the butt plug was unbelievably large and your ass was unbelievably tight. Otherwise, your ass is stretchy enough that any air will slowly seep out, like a slow fart.

Obviously you are going to want to avoid any metal toys, whether cock rings or butt plugs. It’s just not worth the hassle or investigation when going through security. And if you’re having hot airport security fantasies, I don’t think they’ll get fulfilled the way you want them.
